For years Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market readers have asked me when CWIM will be available online. I've gotten e-mails. I've been questioned at conferences and online chats. Once someone even started a petition.

Well, as I've told everyone who's asked—we're working on it! This web page is our first step in giving you all the CWIM information you've grown to trust through cyberspace. But as you continue to be patient, you've still got the trusty printed volume to turn to for hundreds of markets and dozens of articles.

The 2007 edition of CWIM features more than 300 book publishers, 100 magazines and 60 agents and art reps. We put together more than 125 pages of articles, interviews and features and cover things like writing the all-important query letter, blogging, graphic novels, and the newest children's book imprints. Megan McCafferty wrote a great piece on the rules for writing YA. There are also interviews with award-winning writer/illustrator William Joyce, the mega-selling fantasy author Christopher Paolini of Eragon fame, and Newbery Honor-winner Audrey Couloumbis.

So for now, pardon our dust as we continue to build up this Web page. It will soon evolve into a full-fledged Web site--please bookmark it and stop back to check our progress. And in the meantime, visit my blog at http://cwim.blogspot.com.
